The Raspberry Pi 5 is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Arm Cortex-A76 processor
running at 2.4GHz, providing 2-3 times better CPU performance compared to
the Raspberry Pi 4. In addition, the graphics performance of the 800MHz
VideoCore VII GPU has been significantly improved; Dual 4Kp60 display
output via HDMI; As well as advanced camera support from the redesigned
Raspberry PI image signal processor, it provides users with a smooth
desktop experience and opens the door to new applications for industrial customers.

The RP1 "south-bridge" provides most of the I/O capabilities for the Raspberry
PI 5 and makes significant changes in peripheral performance and functionality.
More than double the total USB bandwidth for faster transfers to external UAS
drives and other high-speed peripherals; The dedicated dual-channel 1Gbps
MIPI camera and display interface on earlier models has been replaced by the
MIPI transceiver, triples the total bandwidth and supports any combination of
up to two cameras or displays; SD card's peak performance is doubled by supporting
SDR104 high-speed mode; For the first time, the platform exposes a single-wire
PCI Express2.0 interface to support high-bandwidth peripherals.
