TFT-LCD (Thin Film Transistor-Liquid Crystal Display) is a thin film transistor type liquid crystal display, also called a true color liquid crystal display. Different from the simple matrix of passive TN-LCD and STN-LCD, there are thin film transistors on each pixel of the liquid crystal display, which can "actively" control each independent pixel on the screen. It can effectively overcome the crosstalk during non-gating, so that the static characteristics of the LCD screen have nothing to do with the number of scanning lines, thus greatly improving the image quality. TFT pixel structure: color filters are divided into three types: red, green, and blue according to color, which are arranged on the glass substrate to form a group (dot pitch) corresponding to a pixel. Each monochromatic filter is called a sub-image. Pixel (sub-pixel). The LCD requires a light source from behind, and the liquid crystal material is sandwiched between the TFT glass layer and the color filter layer. When the light beam passes through this layer of liquid crystal, by changing the voltage value that stimulates the liquid crystal, the liquid crystals will be side-by-side or irregularly twisted. Control the final light intensity and color, so the liquid crystal is more like a gate.

This product is a 7-inch 16-bit/8-bit parallel port screen with backplane module, with touch function IC, supporting IO connection of various microcontrollers, integrated SD card expansion circuit, and reserved SPI Flash chip pads.

Adopt SSD1963 single-chip TFT LCD driver IC, resolution 480RGB(SEG)*864(COM), 18/24-bit color, 8/9/16/18/24bit 6800 series/8080 series parallel interface. Its graphics display memory (display memory) GRAM is used to store the picture display data sent by the CPU, and its capacity is 1215Kbytes. When performing a write operation, one frame of data is written at a time, and when a read operation is performed, one row of data is read out each time. The row driver circuit (Gate Driver) is used to control the row driver to be turned on. When the waveform outputs a high level, a whole row of TFTs is turned on, and the column driver circuit Source Driver can charge the liquid crystal in this row. The main function of the column driver circuit is to perform D/A conversion. That is, each 6/8-bit color data representing a sub-pixel is converted into a corresponding grayscale voltage and output to the liquid crystal display screen.
