Introduction

nanoUART is a serial port tool produced by Muse Lab with TYPE-C interface. It can support up to 6Mbps baud rate communication and support flow control and multiple various IO level, including 5V/3.3V/2.5V/1.8V and user-defined level VREF input.

Features

● Open source hardware schematic
● Hardware full duplex, supports up to 6Mbps baud rate communication
● Support RTS/CTS hardware flow control
● Support common MODEM communication signals
● Support a variety of IO levels
● TYPE-C interface
● Small Size: 2.2cm * 1.7cm

Pin Definition

nanoUART contains 12 pins and 5 short-circuit bridges.

How To Use Serial Port

1.Connect nanoUART with target board as shown below,

2.Plug nanoUART to host computer by TYPE-C cable. Check the serial port number in device manager as shown below,

3.Open serial port software on host computer such as Putty, SSCOM. Configure serial port number and baud rate to connect with target board. Then it can works as shown below,

How To Switch IO Level

nanoUART provides four internal IO levels 5V/3.3V/2.5V/1.8V. You can set IO level by short circuit the corresponding short-circuit bridge on the back of the board.

You can also short circuit VREF bridge and provide external reference voltage through the VREF pin.
