The ESP32-WROOM-32 WiFi module is independently designed and developed by Lexin Technology. The core processor of the module, ESP32-WROOM-32, provides a complete set of 802.11 b/g/n/e/i wireless local area network (WLAN) and Bluetooth 4.2 solutions, with a small physical size. This chip is designed specifically for low-power and mobile consumer electronic devices, wearable and IoT devices, and integrates all the functions of WLAN and Bluetooth on the chip, with the characteristics of low cost and good layout. ESP32-WROOM-32 also provides an open platform that allows users to flexibly customize functions for different application scenarios.

ESP32-WROOM-32 Function Block Diagram

ESP32-WROOM-32 is a WiFi and Bluetooth system level chip (SoC) with industry-leading RF performance, low power consumption, and highly integrated advantages. ESP32-WROOM-32 integrates complete transmit/receive RF functions, including antenna switch, RF balun, power amplifier, low noise amplifier, filter, power management module, and advanced self calibration circuit. The self calibration circuit achieves dynamic automatic adjustment to eliminate defects in external circuits. ESP32-WROOM-32 comes with two 32-bit, LX6 CPUs, with a main frequency of up to 240MHz, and adopts a 7-stage pipeline architecture. ESP32-WROOM-32 also integrates rich analog sensing and digital interfaces.

The ultra-low power RF architecture of ESP32-WROOM-32 and patented energy-saving technology extend the battery life in practical applications.

ESP32-WROOM-32 fully complies with the standards of WiFi 802.11b/g/n/e/i and Bluetooth 4.2, integrates WiFi/Bluetooth/BLE RF and low-power technology, and supports an open real-time operating system RTOS. The integrated tuning cache of ESP32-WROOM-32 helps improve system performance and optimize system storage. The flexible RAM/ROM partitioning architecture allows users to customize to meet special requirements and usage scenarios.

ESP32-WROOM-32 can be used as a standalone application or as a slave device for the host MCU. As a slave device, ESP32-WROOM-32 provides WiFi and Bluetooth functionality through SPI/SDIO or I2C/UART interfaces.
